The Flamingo Awards celebrate gay culture by allowing others to vote for individuals and businesses who exhibit Outstanding Gayness in a variety of fabulous categories!
Awards are available in 3 categories, honoring contributions to pop culture, business and arts & entertainment.
 
Why flamingos? Well, we thought about that too. What animal would best represent gay?
Puppies? (they’re needy and pant at things)
Parrots? (loud, colorful and hang out in the jungle)
Hmm.
Well not only do flamingos hang out in select groups, are conscious of what they eat and like to wear pink a lot, but what do you call a group of flamingos?

Our Awards are given out to gay and gay friendly individuals and businesses who are deemed to have the most outstanding gayness in a variety of categories - as voted by you!
So what is outstanding gayness, exactly? It's being the best at adding flair to whatever you do, however you act, wherever you are. Show us some queer and be a Flamingo pioneer!
Could be anything. Grocery shopping…in a boa. Watching baseball…in short shorts. Wearing plaid…not only for Halloween. Thinking all dogs should be covered in pink bows…even the ones named Ralph. Dancing like Christina Aguilera…and thinking your moves are SO much better.
